Further Information
Goole and District Community Transport Group is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It was established in 2003 as a project sponsored by Boothferry CVS, and acquired a minibus in January 2004. In April 2006 we acquired funding to buy a Renault Kangoo accessible car, allowing us to transport smaller groups of passengers, including wheelchair users.
Our main objectives are:
We are always looking for volunteer drivers and passenger assistants, as it is our volunteers that keep the "GoFar" operating. All our volunteers will receive free MIDAS and PATS training and there are regular support meetings as well as informal "get together’s."
Fundraising is always ongoing, and this year we are organising events to raise funds to help us buy a second accessible minibus. Anyone wishing to help with fundraising or donate funds can contact us through the website.
