Assessors Information for The Duke of York's Community Initiative

HRH The Duke of York's Community Initiative has led to over 80 organisations being presented with Awards. Each year there are an increasing number of applications for Awards.

Assessors are paired up and are allocated up to three application schemes. An on-site assessment of the application is made and a report written. This report is then submitted to the Award Review Group who determine whether or not a scheme has been successful.
The Assessment Panel meets once a year and brings together all the members, enabling them to share experience, improve the Community Initiative’s procedure and paperwork.

The two Award Holders Gatherings held each year enable the Award Holders to share experiences and best practice as well as developing ideas for the future. They are essential tools to follow up the Awards, and as the Awards Holders define the agenda and give presentations, they are very warmly welcomed by the participants.

Trustees and Assessors are invited to these occasions, and those who attend find contact with Award Holders, the majority of whom are inspiring individuals, a rewarding experience.
